Prior informations :

- During this trip, we will repeatedly at altitudes above 4000 meters. Health infrastructure is almost non-existent and very poor in Spiti, it is essential before you leave for talking with your doctor about the symptoms, prevention and treatment of acute mountain sickness in order to come up with advice and medicines tailored to your personal health.

- The road providing access to the valleys of Spiti from Kinnaur runs along the gorge of the Sutlej river and the Spiti river. Carved on a mountainside, it is impressive and dramatic in many places. Accidents are very rare, however, this road is classified as one of the most dangerous in the world. Some ability to control his fears and manage emotions is necessary. Think about it before you leave.

First day : Kalpa - Tabo
Departur for the village of Tabo early in the morning after breakfast. Stop in Nako for a picnic lunch and visit of the village. Arrival late afternoon at Tabo.

Day Two : Tabo - Rangrik
Morning departure for the camp "Kabila nature camp," located Rangrik where we settle. During the day, visit the village of Kiber (the highest village electrified in the world) and its source whose waters are reputed to cure skin problems. Visit of the Monastery of Ki, residence of Lochen Rinpoche, the 19th manifestation of the translator Rinchen Sangpo crucial figure in the history of Tibet (Spiti and Kinnaur were part of it) and Himalayan Buddhism. Visit of Kaza. Return to the camp where we spend the night in tents (deluxe, toilet, bathroom and hot water, no need to bring your sleeping bags).

Third day : Rangrik - Tabo
Morning departure to Tabo. Along the way we will make a foray into the Pin valley to visit the village of Gungri. Visit of the monastery of Spiti Tulku, including its old part dating back to the 8th century ; Guru Rinpoche himself has decided its construction and would have stayed. Back to Tabo.

Fourth day : Dungkar
Dungkar and visit his monastery fortress dating back nearly a thousand years. This monastery is ranked as one of the 100 most endangered historic buildings in the world. His risk of collapse is considered imminent. However, a small part of the monastery is accessible securely and roof terrace offers a view of the confluence of the Pin and Spiti. Possibility of a mini trek to Lake Dungkar. Return and night in Tabo.

During our stay in Tabo, you could, of course, visit the monastery and attend practices taking place there... but we will say no more in order to keep a little mystery and surprise!

Fifth day : Tabo - Kalpa.
Back to Kalpa. If we left early enough Tabo and the group wishes, we will stop along the way at the upper Kinnaur to visit the village of Rarang and the hermitages caves of Ga Rinpoche. Arrive Kalpa. ... at a certain time of the evening ... or night!
